Biography and Notes

1st son. Lt. Co. Territorial Army. Baptised 11 January 1903 at Christ Church, Lancaster Gate, Paddington. Educated at Winchester College, 1916-1921; matric. at Oxford (University College) 15 October 1921; 3rd Class History and BA 1924; MA 1928.

Fellow of the Royal Institution of the Chartered Surveyors. Fellow of the Land Agents Society. On the Council of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors 1948. Articled to J.R. Eve & Son of Bedford and Westminster 1925-8. With Lofts & Warner, surveyors and land agents 1929-1935, Chief Land Agent to the National Trust 1961. Retired 1968. Last address: The Porch House, Lacock, Chippenham, Wilts.

From 1924 City of London Yeomanry Battery (RHA) (TA) 'Roughriders'. In Second World War with Anti-Aircraft Command RA in England. Retired with the rank of Lt. Col. after the War.
