2nd son. Baptised 16 June 1863 at Bromley, Kent. Educated at Radley College, matric. at Cambridge (Jesus College) 1881, BA 1885, MA 1888. Buried at Great Milton, Oxon.

Deacon 1886; Priest 1887. Curate of Upton-with-Chalvey, Bucks., 1886. Domestic chaplin and secretary to Bishop of Wakefield 1888. Curate of Datchet, Bucks., 1890; Rector of Newington, Oxon., 1893; Vicar of Thursley, Surrey, 1901-7.

From 1921 lived at The Manor House, Great Milton, Oxon. Author, under the pen name of Alfred Percivall, of 'Somerset Neighbours' (1921), 'They'm Telling me' (1925), 'Gorse and Firs' (1929).
